What would you like to know?

Posted in Perimenopause Weight Gain/Loss at 11:21 pm by dianamarchand

I am new to blogging and before I get to far into all my blog posts I thought I would take time to ask you what you want to know.

Perimenopause is a broad topic and one that I have studied and learned a lot about. Why? Because I am going through it right now. I am 45 years old and started having symptoms about 1 year ago. I also started to gain weight around my waist – something that I never had to worry about before.

I am a personal trainer, yoga teacher and health nut so have never had to worry about my weight. Then hormone imbalance hit and wow! What a difference. That began my obsession of finding out how I can control this unwanted weight gain (around my waist) and some of the uncomfortable symptoms I was going through. I realized that it is my responsibility to help myself. I needed to find out what was going on and what I could do about it NATURALLY!

I have gathered tons of information through my experiences as a personal trainer and yoga teacher along with the years of studying nutrition, health and self-development.

I do practice what I preach. Below is a picture of me and my cousin on the beautiful Hornby Island off the coast of Vancouver Island, BC (Canada). I live on Vancouver Island. We are both 45 years old and have had 1 child each. We have had to adjust our eating over the years to help us stay lean and healthy. It is all about what you eat and your lifestyle. It is possible for anyone.

So let me know what you want to know. I will then write about it. Until then, I will post information I feel is valuable and that will help you in your journey through this phase of your life.

Can’t wait to hear from you!

I cam across your blog as I was researching articles for my new business – Perimenopause Naturally. I have to tell you how impressed I am with how healthy both you and your friend look. I am 50 and have spent many years bitching about the symptoms perimenopause. It wasn’t until about 6 months ago that I realized that there was another way. I have learned that this transition is about so much more than just those icky symptoms.

By showing women how to take small, simple steps – just one at a time- I help them thrive, not just survive perimenopause by providing the tools and community that supports their transition with a mix of optimism and humor. I hope to empower them to take this journey with their glass half full.

I launch my site November 20th but would love to have you visit it now and maybe even sign up for the free PN’s Pearls of Optimism. You may find that we have things in common.

I hope to hear from you soon.

      Hello Lynn

Thank you so much for your comments. I really appreciate it. My blog is new so it is great to get my 1st comment.

I am so happy to meet someone else helping women through the perimenopause phase of life. Naturally is the way to go and it does involve so many aspects doesn’t it?

I too will be adding information on handling this phase emotionally, physically, mentally and through health and nutrition.

      I wish you much success!

      Diana
